This is the field we are basically taking over for camping.
It's not a campsite, its a rugby ground with plenty of room. They are opening the club house for us to use the showers and toilets and probably the bar too if we want it.
This costs £20 per tent per night. Doesnt matter if its a 2 man or an 8 man, its still £20 per night so the more people in your tent, the cheaper it works out per person.


This campsite is ONLY available for the friday and saturday night. If you are staying other nights you MUST book them at the proper campsite (Cardiff Caravan Park).

Mind if I ask what exactly is their justification for charging such a ridiculous amount?  They aren't providing any services more than a normal campsite.

There was no discussion on the price, its a set amount. But if you think about it, with 5 in a tent it makes camping here cheaper than camping at a campsite!

Ok, well its gonna be an expensive weekend for me! Just got to buy a tent first, I have the sleeping bag sorted

Must be a regional thing but thats not a lot of money for a campsite here. Cardiff campsite charge £5 per person per night plus £3 if you want to park your car there and they are really too small to accomodate us there.

This solution is perfect for us and I'm far happier with it.

Yeah, I'll admit when I saw the cardiff campsite on the map on the CB webpage I did think "hrrm, I don't think thats gonna fit us all ".
I agree its not all that much for a larger tent, but a flat fee independent of the number of people seems rather silly. I mean what if we just came in one huge marquee? (come to think of it maybe we should? )

and work out really cheap
